Potentially significant issues to be evaluated in the DEIS
include:
- displacement of residential, commercial, or industrial
properties;
- disruption of contaminated properties that may be located
within the proposed project right-of-way;
- existing and future land use patterns;
- threatened and endangered species, and critical habitat;
- historic and archeological resources, including the existing
Goethals Bridge, which has been identified as potentially
eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic
Places;
- wetlands;
- water quality;
- existing and future traffic patterns and volumes;
- noise;
- air quality;
- navigation;
- construction impacts; and
- cumulative impacts.
